Rubby Haddock is one of the greatest exponents of good Latin music. His orchestra is known as one of the best and most danceable "Big Bands" on the island. He is called "El Maestro" by his followers and fellow artists. For his long career, exposed to the world of entertainment, Rubby became one of the most knowledgeable artists in the history of Latin music. Born in Manhattan, New York, on February 6, of Puerto Rican parents. Her mother lived in Miami most of her life since the late sixties 60's his Father, Ruben Haddock who was a musician in New York, founded the most famous Dance Club in Puerto Rico, the MIRAMAR CENTER; he also owned The Club at Rio Piedras and Coameño Club Caborrojeño Bayamón. It was a glorious era where its producer father brought to the island of Puerto Rico the biggest stars of Latin music such as: Tito Rodriguez, Tito Puente, La Lupe, Eddie Palmieri, RICKY RAY, JOEY Pastrana, JOE Cuba, WILLY COLON, Hector Lavoe, Larry Harlow, Ismael Miranda, CHIVIRICO Davila, TNT BAND among others, in addition to being manager and producer of Roberto And His New Montuno.
Rubby Haddock grew along with his father to adolescence in Puerto Rico within the entire business operation of Don Ruben, knowing these top stars of our music and hence the vein of musician and producer during his career and experience in the world of entertainment. Rubby Haddock studied piano but showed that his passion was playing trombone. For the years 1972 under the seal UNIART, Rubby Haddock launches its first album, "Presenting Orch Haddock" turning it into a powerful Hit on the island with CORREA COTO and MONACILLO as some of the successes of this production. At this early stage of the musical career of Rubby are among the various recordings: "Presenting", "Así me llaman", "La Leyenda","De Regreso", "Unlimited", "2NDO Concierto Familia TH", "THE Entertainer "," THE ENTERTINER 2 "," Otra Vez ","Salsa Tropical"," El Rubby de la Salsa "," "Pasaporte Musical "
In the second stage of his career in 1978 when Rubby was at the height of his career in Puerto Rico with the song "Son Los Nervios," one of the songs propulsion of the merengue on the island, Rubby surprised everyone by joining the Armed Forces of U.S., in San Antonio Texas and Washington State, where in addition to completing courses in medicine, also completed his Bachelor of music education at the universities of Puget Sound and Pacific Lutheran.
In the 9th Infantry Div. Rubby was part of the 9th Infantry Division Band where in addition to the Military Orchestra of the Division, which was more Rubby enjoyed the experience of belonging to the BAND Jazz Ensemble and Big Band Jazz. Not took some of these great musicians to come and join the Orchestra Rubby… At the request of a great friend of Puerto Rico, and Army chief executive Eddie Velez, Rubby agreed to form his orchestra outside Tacoma in Washington State, recalling beautiful moments lived outside their homeland until 1980, when he returned to Puerto Rico for a contract recording with the signing TH RECORDS, in this "come-back in his return to Puerto Rico in the 80's Rubby produces one of his most successful works: "De Regreso" with songs like: My Jibarita, El Amor, Maria Teresa and Señora Tentación, with singers Raul Carbonell and Tony Rivas.
At the end of the 80's Rubby Haddock began his career on television in Puerto Rico, WAPA-TV Ch 4 and Telemundo Channel 2 TV, as producer of shows such as "A Puerto Rican for the History" with Puerto Rican (Jose Feliciano)," Special Year-End Shows, and so on. Rubby Haddock and His Friends, where in this Section produced within the noon parade show the most prestigious artists such as Jose Jose, Jose Feliciano, Mongo Santamaria, Barry Rogers, Eddie Palmieri, Julio Angel, and many more…. This show remained in the air for five and a half years.
By the year 1992 Rubby Haddock and his Orchestra represented Puerto Rico in "the Puerto Rico Pavilion at Expo 1992 in Sevilla, Spain. In the mid-time of 90, although it still remained Rubby as its Director of his Orchestra, also ventures as Businessman with its own commercial Advertising Agency, where in addition to directing the entire operation of the agency Haddock & Haddock Adv, was also the Creative Director, taking in charge of all production ads Radio, Newspapers and Television for all clients of the Agency. Already Rubby to that time had founded his own Recording Studio (Pentagrama Sound), where he produced his three most recent recording productions of this decade as well as friends sharing recordings for artists such as Omar Alfano with Son By 4, and it was in his Studio that came out hits such as "A Puro Dolor" from the Son By 4 group. His recording engineer was the most famous Sound Engineer Sonny Hernandez. With him shared work with artists such as: Danny Rivera, Andres Jimenez, Ismael Miranda, Elvis Crespo, Melina Leon, Edwin Colon Sayed, Tri Borinquén, and others.
In 2000 Rubby moved back again to the United States where he lives now. His fans constantly asked him to re-form his Orchestra as they yearn for his music and also ask the collection of their successes and a "History DVD" exposing his history of Salsa, which seems to be the next management Rubby Haddock as Artist .
Rubby have 3 children, the first 2 Reuben Haddock and Rubby Haddock Jr., devoted their careers to the world of business and his youngest son Randy Haddock, who now lives in New York, is a musician, composer and singer, already showing great talent and vein that comes from Don Ruben (grandfather) and Rubby (his father).

Rubby Haddock uno de los más grandes exponentes de la buena música latina. Su orquesta se conoce como una de las “Big Bands” más bailables en la Isla. Es llamado “El Maestro” por sus seguidores y compañeros artistas. Por su larga trayectoria artística, expuesto al mundo del espectáculo se convierte Rubby en uno de los mejores Conocedores de la historia de la música latina. Nacido en Manhattan, New York un 6 de febrero de padres puertorriqueños. Su madre vivió en Miami casi toda su vida y a finales de la década del los años 60 su Padre, Rubén Haddock quien fuera músico en New York, fundó el más famoso Club de Baile en Puerto Rico, MIRAMAR CENTER cuando a su vez era dueño de El Club Coameño en Río Piedras y El Club Caborrojeño de Bayamón. Una época gloriosa donde su Productor Padre llevaba a la Isla de Puerto Rico las estrellas más grande de la música latina como por ejemplo: TITO RODRIGUEZ, TITO PUENTE, LA LUPE, EDDIE PALMIERI, RICKY RAY, JOEY PASTRANA, JOE CUBA, WILLY COLON, HECTOR LAVOE, LARRY HARLOW, ISMAEL MIRANDA, CHIVIRICO DAVILA, TNT BAND entre otros, además de ser manager y productor de ROBERTO Y SU NUEVO MONTUNO.
Rubby Haddock creció junto a su padre hacia la adolescencia en Puerto Rico dentro de toda la operación empresarial de Don Rubén, conociendo estas máximas estrellas de nuestra música y de ahí la vena de músico y productor durante su carrera artística y la experiencia en el mundo del espectáculo.
Rubby Haddock cursó estudios de Piano pero demostró que su pasión era tocar trombón.
Para los años 1972 bajo el sello UNIART, Rubby Haddock lanza su primera producción discográfica, “PRESENTING ORCH HADDOCK” convirtiéndose ésta en un Hit poderoso en la Isla con el corte musical MONACILLO Y CORREA COTTO como algunos de los éxitos de esta producción. En esta primera etapa de la carrera musical de Rubby se encuentran entre las distintas grabaciones: “PRESENTING”, “ASI ME LLAMAN”, “LA LEYENDA”, “DE REGRESO”, “UNLIMITED” , “2ND CONCIERTO FAMILIA TH”, “THE ENTERTAINER”, “THE ENTERTINER 2”, “OTRA VEZ”, “SALSA TROPICAL”, “EL RUBI DE LA SALSA”, “PASAPORTE MUSICAL”
En la segunda etapa de su carrera, en el año 1978 cuando más pegado estaba Rubby en Puerto Rico con el Tema “Son Los Nervios”, una de las canciones propulsoras de el merengue en la Isla, sorprende Rubby a todos al unirse a las Fuerzas Armadas de E.U., en San Antonio Texas y Washington State, donde además de completar cursos de medicina, terminó también su Bachillerato en Educación Musical en las Universidades de Puget Sound y Pacific Lutheran.
En el 9th Infantry Div. llegó a formar parte Rubby del 9th Infantry Division Band donde además de la Orquesta Militar de la División, lo que más disfrutó Rubby fue la experiencia de pertenecer a la JAZZ ENSEMBLE BAND y el Big Band Jazz . No tardaron algunos de estos grandes músicos a venir a formar parte de la Orquesta de Rubby… A petición de un gran amigo puertorriqueño, y alto funcionario del Army Eddie Vélez, Rubby accedió a formar su Orquesta allá en Tacoma Washington State, recordando bellos momentos vividos fuera de su tierra hasta el año 1980, cuando regresó a Puerto Rico para un contrato de grabación con la firma TH RECORDS, En este “come-back” en su regreso a Puerto Rico para los años 80 produce Rubby uno de sus más exitosos trabajos: “De Regreso” con canciones como: A Mi Jibarita, El Amor, María Teresa, Sra. Tentación con los cantantes Raúl Carbonell y Tony Rivas.
A finales de los 80 incursiona Rubby Haddock en la televisión de Puerto Rico, Wapa TV y Telemundo Canal 2, como productor de espectáculos tales como “Un Puertorriqueño para la Historia (José Feliciano) ”,Especiales de Fin De Año, etc. Rubby Haddock y Sus Amigos, donde en esta Sección producida dentro de los Show de Mediodías desfilaban los más prestigiosos artistas tales como: José José, José Feliciano, Mongo Santamaría, Barry Rogers, Eddie Palmieri, Julio Angel, y muchos más….Este show se mantuvo en el aire durante cinco años y medio.
Para el año 1992 Rubby Haddock y su Orquesta representó a Puerto Rico en el Pabellón de Puerto Rico en la Expo 1992 en Sevilla, España.
A mediados de la época del 90, a pesar de que Rubby continuaba todavía como Director de su Orquesta, también incursiona como Empresario con su propia Agencia de Publicidad comercial, donde además de dirigir toda la operación de la agencia Haddock & Haddock Adv, también era el Creativo, teniendo a su cargo toda la producción de anuncios de Radio, Prensa y Televisión para todos los clientes de la Agencia. Ya Rubby había fundado para esa época su propio Estudio de Grabación (Pentagrama Sound) , donde produjo su tres más recientes producciones de esta década además de compartir grabaciones para amigos artistas tales como: Omar Alfano con Son By 4, fue de ese estudio que salieron éxitos tales como “A puro Dolor”. Su Ingeniero de grabación lo fue el destacado Ingeniero Sonny Hernández. Junto a él compartió trabajos con artistas tales como”: Danny Rivera, Andrés Jiménez, Ismael Miranda, Elvis Crespo, Melina León, Edwin Colon Sayas, Trió Borinquén, y otros.
En el año 2000 se traslada Rubby a los Estados Unidos donde vive actualmente. Su fanaticada le pide constantemente que vuelva a formar su Orquesta porque añoran su música y también le piden la recopilación de sus éxitos y un “ History DVD” exponiendo la Historia de su Salsa, lo cual parece que será la próxima gestión de Rubby Haddock como Artista. Rubby tiene 3 hijos, los primeros 2 Reuben Haddock y Rubby Haddock Jr, dedicaron sus carreras al mundo de los negocios y su hijo menor Randy Haddock, quien vive actualmente en New York, es músico, cantante y compositor, ya demostrando gran talento y la vena que viene de Don Rubén (abuelo) y de Rubby (su padre).
